How heavy do you think can a black hole, which does not allow even light to escape from it, get? Well, such massive behemoths, until recently, weighed about 16 times the mass of the Sun. This black hole was present in a nearby galaxy M33. New measurements have confirmed that the heaviest black hole formed from the collapse of a single star weighs as much as 33 Suns! |
